We can now do rebuilds on Subaru IHI ball bearing turbos.
The rebuild service includes:
-Disassemble turbo to the component level
-Blast, clean, polish, and balance turbine shaft
-Blast, clean, polish and balance compressor wheel
-Replace turbine and compressor oil seals (aka “piston rings”)
-VSR Cartridge balance
-Assemble complete turbo
We now have new turbine wheel shafts in stock for the RHF5HB IHI Ball Bearing Turbos! (updated 11/7/13)
We have found that the most common problem with these turbos is wear to the turbine shaft seal groove or “land” causing oil leakage and eventually smoke out the tailpipe. In the event that your turbine shaft has excessive wear, we have oversize piston rings for these turbos. We can oversize the seal land to the proper spec to fit the new oversize seal ring.
We can even fix broken or damaged blades. We also can do Billet compressor wheel upgrades on these turbos.
We cannot replace or repair the ball bearings themselves. The ball bearing system is not for sale separately.

Core Refund Information:
Core Policy What is a Core? All of our remanufactured turbochargers require core deposits. This means that we require your old part to be sent back. In order to ensure that we get your old part back we put a deposit on the part. After installation, we\'ll have you or the mechanic send the part back to us. If you purchased an optional ARS label, then the shipping costs include the return of the core. How to Return a Core? To return your old core, wrap it and place it in the same box you received your new turbo in. Attach the supplied UPS sticker. Do not cut or modify the sticker in any way. See UPS Locations to drop your core at www.UPS.com. We must receive all cores within 60 days for a full refund. If a core is received after 60 days there will be deductions from the refund. Upon receiving your good core, we will issue a refund within a 2 week period. All cores are subject to inspection upon arrival. Any returned item with physical damage will be result in denial of return credit or refund. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges and original shipping charges are not refundable. The Following are examples of Turbos that will NOT be refunded: Turbochargers: Bent or broken anything. Bent, broken or damaged housing, locked up or frozen anything. Missing or damaged wastegate.
Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy
Unused and uninstalled parts may be returned. There is a 15% restocking fee on all returned parts or cancelled orders. Returns must be made within 30 days of the purchase date. Custom made turbos/parts can not be returned. Returns after 30 days will not be accepted. If this is a warranty issue please see the warranty page. Refunds will be processed within two weeks.
